headline poetry

This blog began as an excursion to reintroduce myself to both “the news,“ which I abandoned nearly 2 years ago, and with creative writing, unvisited for over 10 years. The experiment returned me to writing, and convinced me to remain inattendant to the distractions of “the news”. Now my poems don’t refer to the reported doings of the world, but rather, to my own life’s headlines, the news worthy stuff in my direct, personal and unmediated world. See 9/11/06 for more.

fight the day to lie the ‘morrow
fight the bone to mine our sorrow
boxing years and boxing shadows
yesterday is fully hollow
